GARDENING CLUB ON THE MOVE
The Gardening Club (Vega Baja), which for two and a half very successful years has met monthly at the Mi Jardin Garden Centre, Urbanisation Golf La Finca, near Algorfa, has had to look for a new meeting place for its new season, starting 1st September. A new venue has now been found, and the Club is pleased to announce that with effect from that date, meetings will be held the first Monday of each month, at 2pm, at The Venue, next to the Los Rosales bar/restaurant on the Lemon Tree Road (the CV - 895), just the Guardamar side of the hamlet of Campo de Guardamar and Urbanisation El Raso.
The Club has speakers, question and answer sessions, competitions, plant sales and occasional trips, and all interested in gardens and gardening are welcome. Existing members are particularly asked to note the new venue for the first meeting, as this latest news supersedes that which was given at the last meeting, before the summer break.

La Marina & San Fulgencio Cardenal Belluga Theatre Group
are taking a well earned summer break following our recent hugely successful production ‘Around the World on the Magical Orient Express’ from which we raised 2000 euros for our local youth club. We are extremely grateful for all the help and support from the Alcaldesa & Ayuntamiento of San Fulgencio in allowing us to use this well equipped modern theatre as our home base for rehearsals. These will start again on Monday 15th September at 2.00 pm at the theatre.
We are convinced that there are many talented people, of all ages and nationalities, out there in our community, who would love to get involved. So why not give a little of you time to help us raise more funds for worthy causes, and have a thoroughly good time with a great bunch of friends. we are a group of road cyclists that meet at the car park in Guardamar (La Mata end) after the beach roundabout every Sunday at 10a.m. Generally we do 60-70 K trips. Although most are retired we welcome all nationalities and ages. No membership, no rules just turn up.
