The first winter storm came upon us around the Torrevieja area on Friday and Saturday night and took its toll on the Beach at Playa de Glea, Campomoar . Some of the first on the scene were the storm chasers from the ADAPT Metal Detecting Club, Adrian Wrigglesworth and Roderick Toms. "As it’s now quiet without tourists we wait for the storms to erode the beaches where old coins from the past turn up like the old Pesetas and the odd lost metal trinket. Where the sea is at the moment shown in the picture it was all sandy beach in the summer.”
The ADAPT metal detecting club venture out on the beaches rain or shine to wave their ‘magic sticks’ every Friday in search of lost treasure. We even go into the cool sea looking for lost items. To learn more about our club contact Roderick at
