Four hotels in Guardamar have
been chosen to be refurbished and
upgraded ahead of the 2010
tourist season thanks to help from
the Tourism Renovation Plan
operated by Turespana, the
Tourism Insitute of Spain.
Vice president and general
manager of Turespana Antonio
Bernabe met in the City of
Guardamar with the Association of
Hoteliers of Guardamar to visit
seven hotels, four of which were
awarded aid through the Renewal
Plan for Tourism, to modernise
their premises. Bernabe traveled to
Guardamar del Segura to see first
hand the local tourist resources
and to meet hoteliers and explain
the role his Department.
Turespaña has 103 overseas offices
that are dedicated to promoting
Spanish tourism abroad and has the
most modern technological support
for tourism management. It also has a
number of databases, current market
information and contacts with tour
operators across the world at its
disposal.
Antonio Bernabe made Turespaña
resources available to those involved
in the tourism trade in Guardamar
and after hearing about the city´s
future projects was encouraged to
provide economic aid as part of its
commitment to promoting the
country. During 2009, Turespaña in
