The Costa Blanca Lodge of the R.A.O.B. better known as the Buffs moved into their new meeting place at Jones Retreat last week. At their very first meeting, mine host Alan, informed members of a Spanish family in the village whose home was completely destroyed by fire.
This had destroyed everything the family possessed and they only had what they stood up in.
Members quickly decided to give him a cheque for €200.00 to help the family to replace the immediate necessities of life. This is what the Buffs are all about, helping those in the local community who are less fortunate than themselves.
The Costa Blanca Lodge is the oldest of the three Buffalo Lodges in this area and has been in existence for over fifteen years. As part of the R.A.O.B. it is an International organisation which spans the globe and has members in many countries around the world.
