Hot on the heels of the success of the
recent aerobics marathon, the Town
Hall has organised the second in the
series of events to take place at the
same location. This time experts at
Maxx Gym will be encouraging locals
to get on their bike for a five hour
spinning marathon.
The event will take place at the same,
very popular location of Playa
Flamenca beachfront. Organisers
hope that it will prove as popular as
the first event, which attracted
hundreds of people to the area and
proved a real boost for
local bars, restaurants and
businesses.
This time however, unlike
the aerobics marathon,
the spinathon comes at a
cost; with a charge of 5
euros per person to
register. In addition, as
there will only be a certain
amount of bikes available
the event will not be able
to cater for an unlimited
number of people. For
this reason those wishing
to take part are being
advised to book a place
by 1 July, either with the
Town Hall or Maxx Gym.
The format will be similar
with displays and
demonstration breaking
up each 50-minute
exercise session and each
session will be hosts by a
different expert fitness
instructor.
As with the previous event,
participants will be entered into a
grand prize raffle with prizes valued
at a total of more than 1,000 euros.
There is also a prize of 500 euros for
the local gym with the most
members taking part.
To reserve a place or for further
information call 966 761 616 or call
into Maxx gym, Playa Flamenca.
