The town of Guardamar is launching new
catamaran trips to the island of Tabarca from
its port for the summer season. This service
will operate from 4 July until 15 September.
‘Tabarca Kat’ will be running the new
service from the quayside mooring A1 at the
mouth of the River Segura and the service
will run from Mondays to Sundays.
Tickets for the return trip are priced at 13
euros for adults and 9 euros for children aged
between 5 to 9 years old. Children under 5
are able to travel free. The new initiative will
eventually be providing a lunchtime menu of
typical ‘caldero’ fish casserole followed by fish
paella made from the broth of the same dish,
whilst the boat is moored on the island.
The company also hopes to offer night
time visits to the high sea fish factories of
Guardamar between 8pm and 11pm, which
will also include views of the coastline, a
complimentary drink, with a full bar service
and tapas available on board.
