Mayors and councillors from Rojales and Benijofar joined health professionals and members of the public to attended the launch a new care service covering Rojales and the surrounding areas. From 1 July, Senior Assistance will be offering a range of services focusing on care and healthcare, in and outside the home, for senior or disabled people who need help and support. It is hoped that the geographic reach will extend out to other areas of the Costa Blanca as the business expands.

Care will be provided by a team of medically qualified professionals, in-line with a preagreed, paid for tailored package that accommodates for the specific care needs of each person. This ranges from hourly, daily, weekly or 24/7 care provision and is based on: medical support and nursing assistance, personal care and bathing, rehabilitation exercises, physiotherapy, chiropody and social interaction such as walks, games and conversation. Home care including cleaning, laundry, cooking and shopping can also be facilitated. Senior Assistance can also provided adapted furniture and appliances and specialised transport if required.
During the presentation directors Vincente Hernandez Mora and Jose Antonio Gonzales Garcia explained that the service was driven by a real community need. With an aging population and the continuing migration of elderly foreign residents, care provision for senior and disabled residents is vital to ensuring a good quality of life.
The mayor of Rojales, Antonio Martinez Canovas said he welcomes the service, which would support and enhance the municipal home care services already in place. This service operates a daily morning visit programme and any additional care options would be welcome.
All those employed by Senior Assistance have been carefully selected and are qualified to the required level. All service are carried out within legal guidelines and therefore, the client is exempt from any legal responsibility for the services received. An emergency call out number means that Senior Assistance is always on hand to help with any unforeseen circumstances.
The company is based in Quesada and can be contacted on 902 001 822.
