Local dance teacher Raquel Peña has just had the most exciting request to help organize a documentary on UK Golfers living or visiting Spain. The documentary is being filmed by a French company which contacted Raquel from Paris to organise interviews with golfers for the show. Raquel told the CoastRider, “The Company is called ‘Les Films d'ICI’ and my contact person is called Lucia Sanchez. I have checked their credentials that they are an officially registered Company in France. What the documentary is all about is showing the amazing impact Golf has had on the areas of Murcia and Alicante.”

Raquel continued, “Twenty years ago there where maybe three golf courses within the two provinces and today there are 16 courses in Murcia and 18 in Alicante for a grand total of 34.”
The interviews will take place from July 5th through the 10th and will be filmed in many different areas of the two provinces, though mainly in the southern part of Alicante and the region of Murcia. Producers are looking to interview people from the United Kingdom who visit or live in Spain predominantly because of the facilities available to play golf.
Golfers will be given the questions before hand in order that they know exactly what will be asked. Raquel said, “This is not a commercial advertising film, just a documentary on the phenomenal impact golf has had on this area and many of you are part of all this, so here's your chance to do something new, different and above all fun!”
If anyone is interested in participating in this documentary or for more information please call Raquel on 630 689 431.
