Corts Valencianes
Last week a deputation from the Orihuela Neighbourhood Watch Scheme (Vecinos Colaborando) was invited to speak to the Valencian regional government. In support were members of the nationally registered NHW scheme, Vecinos Cooperando y Colaborando de España and councillors from the Orihuela town hall. This great honour, for the NHW scheme, was at the invitation from a committee of the Regional Government formed to discuss and make recommendations towards improving policing and security within the region. . . . more . . .

Torrevieja close in on league leaders

A tricky away game at local rivals Dolores was always going to take some winning and thanks to an early goal from Polanco it was enough to take the three points for The Salineros on Sunday and close the gap on league leaders Denia to four points. With Denia only managing a draw at Elche and third place Villareal B drawing away at bottom of the table Requena, Torrevieja's position in second place . . . more . . .
